The Price of Everything and the Value of Nothing

We need to sit up and realise that the price we are paying for the actions of others and our own inaction will and does impact on us as individuals. It is often said that there are some who “know the price of everything and the value of nothing”, but we are foolish to think this is simply about money alone (though this is the major factor). We need to look at the decisions of those charged with running society, their accountability and how WE should be telling them what to do.

About Me

Sam McNair
Many years of public service has shown me that those i/c sometimes fail to tell the whole story! Whilst this may not be a shock to some, it is nonetheless worth noting that we all accept this situation without actually calling those i/c to account. This leaves us in the position of either doing nothing or actually raising the issue and fighting for answers. This writer chooses the latter and in so doing has dedicated himself to a little agitation. As an individual, I am a married man with two kids and a mortgage who believes that we all should educate ourselves in order that those who drop and lift veils do not get an easy time. Class struggle, human rights, the right to be a citizen and not a “subject” are very important to me, as is the value of life itself.

Beware the leader - George that is!

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind.

And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so.

How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am George Bush.
